Dr. Hua Dai

Workshop Lead; Instructor

Hua Dai is a professor of Management Information Systems and the Chair of the Business program at Martin V. Smith School of Business and Economics, California State University Channel Islands. She received her Ph.D. degree in Information Systems and her B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering. She is currently engaged in several research projects with topics including social media analytics, big data, data analytics, and machine learning. Her research has been published or accepted for presentation in Decision Support Systems, The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, Information& Management, ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, Electronic Markets, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and other international journals and conferences.  She is very excited to teach the data visualization Excel track during the Plot-a-thon event at CI!
